"Hot Tub Time Machine" (now that's a great title) pushes the boundaries of the R-rating with its boys-gone-wild antics. As the voice of reason, the exasperated Duke is priceless. He's also a writer of "Stargate" fan fiction, so he's automatically the smartest guy in the room, though that's not saying much. It involves something about spilled Red Bull and Chevy Chase, so the science seems solid. The middle-aged people at hand are a trio of losers who get in said hot tub and travel back in time. If this isn't your kind of stuff, do not wander into the theater - for this hard-R comedy has situations and language that will singe your ears and eyes and leave you distraught over the state of young people today. "Hot Tub Time Machine" is a slapdash, gross-out good time if you're up for some rude "Hangover"-style shenanigans to go with your heaping helpings of '80s nostalgia. ![]()
